9 new DIMs

The Region has defined 9 new Major Areas of Research and Innovation (DIM) for 2022-2026. DIM ORIGINES takes over from DIM ACAV+!

To support research in the region, Ile-de-France focuses its aid on subjects that are considered to be promising and around which a whole network (of universities, higher education establishments, research laboratories and businesses) has been set up. Between 2017 and 2021, 13 DIMs have benefited from €110 million to carry out their research.

For the period 2022-2026, 9 new DIMs were selected by the Regional Scientific Committee.

Made up of the best scientific teams in research and technology transfer, the Île-de-France networks attached to these DIMs will benefit from €20 million in 2022 and more than €100 million at the end of the 5 years.

Of the 33 applications submitted in response to the call for projects, the following 9 DIMs were selected by the Regional Scientific Council:

  • Human-centred artificial intelligence in Île-de-France (AI4IDF), led by the INRIA Centre in Paris
  • BioConvergence (BIOTECH), led by the Université de Paris
